Beginning Monday, March 16, all Henry County Government Buildings including Rec Centers and the Recycling Center, will be closed to the public as a precautionary measure to guard against the coronavirus - COVID-19.
Henry County Board of Elections Meeting Postponed - April 15, 2020
After additional thought and consideration, the Henry County Board of Elections and Registration has decided to postpone our April 1, 2020, meeting until Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at 1:00 PM. The location of the meeting will be announced in the upcoming days. Safety continues to be top of mind, and based on the information we have now, this is the best decision for all interested parties.

The Board of Assessors Meeting scheduled for April 13th, 2020 has been Cancelled
Parks and Recreation will cancel the Youth Spring Break Camp that was scheduled for April 6-10th.
From the Tax Assessors Office:
Forms regarding return of real property; return of aircraft, business and marine personal property; the application for freeport exemption; and the county's homestead exemption application are available on www.qpublic.net/ga/henry/. All forms may be mailed to the office and must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2020.
Early voting suspended and Presidential Primary postponed until May
Due to mounting concerns over the Covid-19 Virus and the current State of Emergency, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has moved the Presidential Preference Primary from March 24, 2020 to coincide with the State Primary scheduled for May 19, 2020. The Presidential Preference Primary (and associated special elections) has been moved/postponed. It has not been cancelled.
Every vote already cast, whether by mail or in person, WILL be counted in May for the Presidential Preference Primary. All in-person absentee voting has ended as of Saturday March 14, 2020. Absentee by mail is strongly encouraged.

APRIL 7, 2020 Family Law Workshop Cancelled:
The Family Law Workshop scheduled for 4/7 has been cancelled. Please note that all registered participants will be moved to the 5/5 scheduled workshop and that date is subject to be canceled as well pending further developments of the impact of COVID-19 on our community.

BID OPENINGS: Due to Henry County Government Buildings being closed, the openings/acceptance of all posted bids and RFPs will be postponed until further notice. Once a new date and time has been determined, information will be posted on the County’s website.
