HENRY COUNTY, GA- March 26, 2021-- On March 20, 2021, Henry County Fire Station #8 personnel and Fire Chief Luther Phillips hosted Commissioner Bruce Holmes and members of the Project Exposure Group.  Project Exposure is one of the mentoring programs for male youths from 6th grade to 12th grade sponsored by the Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation.  Project Exposure mentees are exposed to activities which promote the pursuit of higher education, positive self-esteem, artistic and cultural intelligence, a positive interaction with the community according to team member AuBrey Hammonds.  More information about Project Exposure can be found at www.cbhyf.org  

The Group was presented demonstrations of the various apparatus used by the Fire Department.  Station #9 personnel assisted with the apparatus demonstrations and presentations. The group was also introduced to the tools, equipment, protective gear, EMS equipment and supplies used by our personnel every day.  The group was then given a Station tour by Station #8 personnel describing daily Station life.  Closing the visit out, Chief Phillips gave a short presentation to the group that described his personal experiences in the Fire Service.
