HENRY COUNTY, GA- January 20, 2021—In observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday, Henry County District II Commissioner Dee Clemmons hosted an MLK Service Day Event and handed out free hand sanitizer, bleach and food on Monday, January 18 at the South Point Shopping Center in McDonough.

Clemmons said the service day gave away 300 bags of food to families in need and attracted over 50 other community volunteers and partners who participated.

“As a leader, I try to lead by example. The MLK Holiday is just as prominent as any other holiday and feel I must bear some responsibility as a leader to honor the work of Dr. King through a service project,” said Clemmons. “It was a great day of service.”
