Inclement Weather Policy

If the Henry County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, our office will also be closed. Please check your local television station for a current list of school closings.

To obtain a Marriage License during inclement weather closings - You may apply for a marriage license at any Probate Court in the state as long as one person to be married is a resident of Georgia. Nearby offices include: Clayton County Probate Court – 770-477-3301, Butts County Probate Court – 770-775-8204 and Spalding County Probate Court – 770-467-4340. Please call the other Probate Courts to make sure that they are open during the inclement weather.

To obtain a Birth or Death Record during inclement weather closings - You may obtain a Georgia birth or death record from any Vital Records custodian in the state. Nearby custodians include the following: Clayton County Probate Court – 770-477-3301, Butts County Probate Court – 770-775-8204 and Spalding County Probate Court – 770-467-4340.
