Property For Sale

The Henry County Tax Commissioners Office holds judicial-in-rem tax sales on the first Tuesday of the month. These tax sales are held at 10:00 am on the courthouse steps located on the McDonough Square.

It is an open auction and bids are taken from all parties interested. Payment is required at the time of sale and all sales are final. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, money order and certified check ONLY. NO PERSONAL CHECKS.

Specific properties to be sold are advertised in the Daily Herald every Friday four weeks prior to the sale. Since sales are not held every month, please check the newspaper.

The list published on the web site is a list of all properties turned over to our attorney for tax sale. It does not mean they will definitely sell on the courthouse steps. Again, please check the Daily Herald for advertisements.

If you would like to research the status of any of the properties listed there is an open records room in the Tax Commissioners Office and maps are available in the Tax Assessors Office. Please contact us with questions.

Manufactured Homes

The Henry County Tax Commissioner’s Office holds Sheriff tax sales on the first Tuesday of the month. These sales are held at various times of the day in front of the home in the specific Mobile Home Park.

It is an open auction and bids are taken from all parties interested. Payment is required at the time of the sale and all sales are final. A title fee will also be added to the ending bid.

The ONLY acceptable forms of payment are cash, money order and certified checks. NO PERSONAL CHECKS.

Specific properties to be sold are advertised in the Daily Herald every Friday four weeks prior to the sale. Since sales are not held every month, please check the newspaper.

The list published on this web site is a list of all properties for sale for the upcoming month. It does not mean they will definitely be sold at the property that date. Owner may make payment prior to the sale. You may check with our office before 9:00am the day of the sale by calling 770-288-8184.
