On Saturday, October 3, 2009, Henry County Stormwater Management and Henry County Water and Sewerage Authority will hold their 5th annual Rivers Alive Clean-up Campaign on a portion of the South River, adjacent to the Old Snapping Shoals Community, at River Road and Old Snapping Shoals Road.
Rivers Alive is held annually each fall and is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division's Georgia Adopt-A-Stream Program and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs' Keep Georgia Beautiful Program, in cooperation with Help the Hooch. Make a difference on the South River…one trash bag at a time.
