Invitation to Bid: SB-08-32-110707-1
Sealed Bids will be received by Henry County Board
of Commissioners, Purchasing Department, 140 Henry Parkway, Room
209, McDonough, Georgia 30253 until 3:00 PM local time on November
7, 2007. Late bids will not be considered nor returned. Bids will
be opened at the County Administration Building by staff personnel.
Bidders and their agents are invited to attend.
The work to be bid consists of furnishing all materials,
labor, tools, equipment and services required to construct and install
an entrance canopy, approximately 25’ x 35’ at the Henry
County Government Annex Building, located at 110 S. Zack Hinton
Parkway, in McDonough, Henry County, Georgia.
If the cost exceeds $50,000.00, the bid shall be accompanied
by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of
the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a surety
issued bond or cashier’s check made payable to the Henry County
Board of Commissioners. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Henry
County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute
the Contract and provide the services as specified.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the SPLOST
Management office, 112 S. Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, on Thursday,
October 25, 2007 at 10:00AM. This is not a mandatory conference;
however, attendance is strongly encouraged as failure to attend
will not relieve the vendor of fulfilling all requirements and/or
obligations of the bid/proposal.
Invoices shall be paid within 30 days after approval
of the Engineer/Project Manager.
The Bidding Documents, Proposal Form and Specifications
are available and open to public inspection at the Purchasing Department,
Henry County Administration Building, 140 Henry Parkway, Room 208,
McDonough, Georgia. Bidding documents, plans and specifications
may be obtained from Henry County Purchasing Department; contact

There is not a charge for the plans and specifications. If plans
and specifications are to be shipped, please include recipient’s
FEDEX account number.
Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after
the time and date set for bid opening, except as allowed by OCGA.
Henry County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any technicalities.
