Commissioner Bruce Holmes to Host Town Hall Meeting Focus will be on Firearm Safety

District V Commissioner Bruce Holmes will hold his monthly Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 9 a.m. at the Fairview Recreation Center.  This month’s meeting will focus on public safety, and Henry County Chief of Police, Keith Nichols will be on hand to provide an update on crime in the fifth district.

In addition, in light of recent increases in firearm sales in Henry County and across the state, Commissioner Holmes has invited Henry County Law Enforcement to teach a firearm safety class to educate residents on gun ownership and safety.  Representatives with Henry County Police will provide information about basic firearm safety and Georgia gun laws.

The class is free and open to the general public. Attendees are asked NOT to bring any firearms or weapons to the class.  The Fairview Recreation Center is located at 35 Austin Road in Stockbridge.
