Major Stoney Mathis

Major Stoney Mathis - Henry County Police DepartmentMajor Stone Mathis commands the Uniform Patrol Division (UPD) of the Henry County Police Department. Major Mathis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, which he obtained in 1992 from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He is a 2004 Graduate of the DEA Drug Unit Commander Academy in Quantico, VA and a 2007 Graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute.

Major Mathis has been with the Henry County Police Department since 1995 when he started as a patrol officer.

He has served the department as a Narcotic Investigator, as well as a Sergeant in Narcotics Investigation. Major Mathis also served at the rank of Lieutenant over the Uniform Patrol Division. In 2002, he obtained the rank of Captain over the Narcotics Division. In November 2005, Mathis was promoted to the rank of Major and has commanded the Uniform Patrol Division to date.
