Henry County Parks and Recreation Department Receives Award from State Organization
The Henry County Parks & Recreation Department has once again been recognized by the Georgia Recreation and Park Association for their outstanding contributions in the field of parks and recreation. The Department received an award for the 2012 Calendar, which they accepted at the GRPA’s Annual Conference held in Athens, Georgia on November 7, 2012.
The official award is the Publication Award for Multi-Event for a Population of 180,001 and over. The award-winning calendar was a collaborative effort between Henry County Parks and Recreation and the Henry County Communications Department and it is the fifth consecutive year that the County has been recognized with this honor. Kathy Hunt, Program Coordinator with the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department, accepted the award on behalf of the County.
