Tim Coley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration from West Georgia University and has worked in the recreation field for 30 years, the past 12 years as Director of the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department.
Prior to coming to Henry County, Tim worked as Athletic Supervisor for Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, and seven years as Athletic Supervisor for Clayton County Parks and Recreation and four years as Intramural Grad assistant at West Georgia College. Tim returned home to Henry County where he grew up, to the parks and recreation department where he played and later worked part-time while attending high school and college.
In his role as Director, Tim administers parks, grounds, recreation, cultural affairs and community services and has been a member of the Georgia Recreation and Parks association since 1987. He works diligently to ensure that Henry Countyís Parks and Recreation Departmentís programs and facilities are top-notch, attracting several tournaments and events to the County every year. Over the years, Tim has been honored with various awards and accolades, most recently receiving the 2014 GRPA Mike Daniel Award, which is an award reserved for individuals who have excelled in the area of supervision and implementation of recreation, parks and leisure programs.
