Deputy Fire Chief Lacy’s primary goals for the Department are:
- To provide Henry County fire Department customers with the highest level of emergency response possible
- To provide our personnel with the necessary tools to safely deliver the highest level of Customer centered emergency response
- To develop and maintain the organizational process and procedure necessary to deliver emergency services for our department’s Customers
In addition to ensuring that fire and emergency medical services are provided, Chief Lacy also works to enhance the ability of the department to protect the public and fire service personnel from fire and related hazards by accessing grant funding whenever possible. Fire departments by nature provide a necessary but often costly service due to the costs of personnel, apparatus, and equipment. Some of this cost is diminished through research and detailed grant writing. From 2002 to 2008, Henry County Fire Department was awarded $1,856,069 to purchase vital safety equipment and to fund needed programs. Some of the purchases from these awards include: a Mobile Command Unit, a Heavy Rescue Truck, Data Management Software, Air Filtration Systems in each station, twelve 4-Gas Monitors, Apparatus Headsets, Safety Training and more. |
