Henry County Fire Department

Our Mission
The mission of the Henry County Fire Department is to provide safe, professional service through education, prevention, emergency services, and community relations.
About Our Department
The Henry County Fire Department serves the currently fastest growing county in Georgia, and the sixth fastest growing county in the United States. With a population now at over 180,000 people and nearly triple of what it was just 15 years ago, an area of 321 square miles welcoming over 100,000 visitors daily, and a 28 mile stretch of Interstate I-75, the fire department force of 295 superbly trained professional men and women, continues to strive to deliver the most comprehensive emergency services to the citizens and visitors of Henry County.
Responding to over 17,000 emergency calls annually, we operate thirteen strategically placed fire stations, thirteen engine companies, three ladder trucks, nine advanced life-support medical units, and two heavy rescue units. Highly trained technical rescue teams are in place for hazardous materials, heavy rescue, and swift water rescue situations.
Our in house Training Academy provides training far beyond state requirements as well as providing all firefighters with Emergency Medical Training. All emergency apparatus are staffed with Emergency Medical Technicians and, at the least, basic life support medical equipment. Our Emergency Medical Service division of the Training Academy also holds paramedic classes for those personnel who so desire to further their medical training.
Home of the Atlanta Motor Speedway, renowned golf courses, and prestigious shopping facilities easily accessible along seven exits off I-75, Henry County's residents continue to climb in numbers. Fire and Life Safety Education continues to be spread among forty-one public schools, thirty-nine private and/or state-funded schools, and over forty public and/or private day care centers and five Senior's Centers and/or housing. Education is the key to prevention and prevention is one of the four avenues of providing safe professional service as stated in our mission.
