Henry County Extension Services
Director - Susan Howington
Susan Howington has been the Director of the Henry County Extension Services since 1999, also serving as a Family and Consumer Sciences Agent. She is a certified Proctor/Teacher for ServSafe® for the National Restaurant Association, and teaches quarterly classes on food safety to restaurant managers. She also provides programming in the areas of nutrition and health, childcare education, food safety and food preservation, housing and environment, and finances. As the Director of Extension Services, she oversees various programs and services, and co-hosts an award-winning cooking and gardening show called Garden Delights, providing healthy recipes and gardening and cooking tips to viewers on the county’s government access station.
Susan earned her B. S. degree in Home Economics in 1981 from Mississippi State University. She is member of Georgia Association of Extension Family & Consumer Sciences, American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences, National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and Epsilon Sigma Phi.
