Judicial Division
The Judicial Division, also called “Court Records Division,” is responsible for receiving, filing, processing, storing, as well as retrieving civil, criminal, domestic, and adoption court records for the Superior Court.
This division provides support for the Superior Court Judges through the management of case files and attendance in court.
Through the Judicial Division a citizen can appeal a decision from a lower court hearing in a civil or criminal matter, file for an adoption of a child or adult, foreign judgment or obtain a Fi.Fa. (A Fi.Fa. is a document authorizing seizure of property to satisfy a judgment.) This division is also responsible for payment and disbursement of funds in the registry (escrow) accounts as directed by the Court.
