The mission of the Henry County Accountability Court is to provide alternatives to incarceration for citizens who are involved in the criminal justice system as a result of their mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. We do this by providing intense judicial supervision, clinical treatment, case management and law enforcement involvement to enhance public safety, reduce recidivism (repeat offenses) and reduce costs to the community. This enables participants to remain out of jail and prison, obtain employment to be a tax payer instead of a tax burden, become community partners and restore their families and lives.

Target Population

The Henry County Accountability Court programs target adults 18 years or older who are facing felony, misdemeanor or a combination of charges with prison or long term jail and have severe and persistent psychiatric disorders and/or severe substance abuse disorders.
