Director - Shannan Sagnot
Shannan Sagnot serves as the Director of the Community Development Department. She is responsible for the program and financial administration of grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, specifically, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
Shannan began her career with Henry County in October 2012 as the CDBG Coordinator. In 2014, the administration and implementation of Henry County’s CDBG and NSP programs were joined into what is now known as the Community Development Department.
Shannan has worked in community development since 2005. Her relevant work experience includes Fulton County Housing and Human Services Division, the City of Griffin Planning and Development Department and the River Valley Regional Commission (formerly the Lower Chattahoochee Regional Development Center).
Shannan earned a Masters of Public Administration from Columbus State University in December 2004 and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University in May 2003. Shannan is originally from Columbus, Georgia. She currently lives in McDonough with her husband and son.
