HENRY COUNTY- November 9, 2017—Henry County’s Building and Plan Review Department will be adding four extra positions within their department after the approval from the Board of Commissioners. The action came at the November 7 Commission meeting.

The additional positions will help promote the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the county by providing them with an efficient and timely application process for permits as well as providing thorough building, developing and zoning compliance inspections for all construction projects.

Deputy County Manager, Brad Johnson shared goals of the Building and Plan Review Department and lauded their transparency with Henry County citizens.

“One of the services our Building and Plan Review Department advertises is a ten day period turn around, that is ten days once a permit is reviewed,” said Johnson. “Our goal is to spend ten days or less with our permit approval process after someone submits their applications. And our employees work hard and they are always on top of things. They try to do everything they can to be more inviting and be more open to the public.”
