Communications
The Communications Department acts as a liaison
between the public and the news media, and the Henry County
government, including the Board of Commissioners, the County
Manager, and County departments and agencies, and assists
the public in obtaining needed information. Key activities
include:
- Drafting news media communications materials and taking accompanying photographs
- Monitoring news media coverage
- Representing County departments in answering questions from news media
- Developing and producing the programming
for Henry TV14, Henry County’s government access
channel currently available to Charter customers. Henry
TV14 programming includes the Board of Commissioners’
meetings, information about County programs, events and
services, as well as the Cities, Board of Education and
the Henry County Water & Sewer Authority
- Maintaining County Customer Online Complaint Form, and answering questions and concerns
- Continually updating news and other links on the County web site
- Publishing an e-newsletter, Henry County Update, to keep citizens informed about County news, meetings and events
- Creating brochures, flyers, posters and other publicity materials for County Departments
- Developing and maintaining the County web site
