VI.            Ordinance (Planning & Zoning Exhibit Book)

A.     Request approval of an Ordinance for the purpose of amending Article XVIII of Chapter 3-7 of the Code of Henry County, Georgia, adopted May 1, 1984, and as subsequently amended, by amending Section 3-7-155(b)(29) permitting commercial kennels in M-1 (Light Manufacturing) zoning district; and for other purposes.  Municipal Planning Commission recommended Approval March 11, 2004.

VII.         Modification of a Zoning Condition

A.     Huston Joyner Modification of Zoning Condition MC-04-01; Commissioner Harper, District 3.  (Planning Exhibit #1)

Huston Joyner of Stockbridge, GA requests a modification to a condition of zoning for property located in Land Lot 142 of the 7th District, along the western side of Upchurch Road within the Joyner Estates Subdivision. The property contains 35.81 +/- acres and the request is to modify a zoning condition related to net density. Municipal Planning Commission recommended Denial March 25, 2004.

VIII.      Rezoning(s):

A.     C & N Development Rezoning RZ-03-54; Commissioner Harper, District 3.  (Planning Exhibit #2)

 

C&N Development of McDonough, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to R-1 (Single-Family Residence) for property located on the northern side of East Lake Road and the western side of John Elliott Road, in Land Lots 7 and 8 of the 7th District.  The property consists of 108 +/- acres and the request is for a single-family residential subdivision.  Municipal Planning Commission recommended Denial February 26, 2004.

 

B.      Andy Bunn Rezoning RZ-03-63; Commissioner Harper, District 3.  (Planning Exhibit #3)

Andy Bunn of Locust Grove, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to R-2 (Single-Family Residence) for property located along the eastern side of Airline and the north side of Turner Church Road, in Land Lot 75 of the 7th District. The property consists of 32.0 +/- acres and the request is for a single-family residential subdivision.  Municipal Planning Commission recommended Denial January 8, 2004.

 

C.     Triad Investments Rezoning RZ-03-64; Commissioner Harper, District 3. (Planning Exhibit #4)

 

Triad Investments of Jonesboro, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) and R-1 (Single-Family Residence) to R-2 (Single-Family Residence) for property located on the south side of Turner Church Road, in Land Lots 86 and 107 of the 7th District.  The property consists of 34.0 +/- acres and the request is for a single-family residential subdivision.  Municipal Planning Commission recommended  Denial January 8, 2004.

 

D.     Fayette Environmental Rezoning RZ-03-66; Commissioner Holder, District 1.  (Planning Exhibit #5)

 

Fayette Environmental, LLC of Conley, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to M-2 (Heavy Manufacturing) for property located along the northern side of State Route 42 South and to the west of County Line Road, in Land Lot 159 of the 2nd District.  The property consists of 51.0 +/- acres and the request is for an industrial subdivision. 

Municipal Planning Commission recommended Approval February 12, 2004.

 

E.      Ron Resser Rezoning RZ-03-67; Commissioner Freedman, District 2.  (Planning Exhibit #6)

 

Ron Reeser of Atlanta, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to C-2 (General Commercial) for property located along the eastern side of State Route 155 South, and north of Hampton-Locust Grove Road, in Land Lots 210 and 211 of the 2nd District.  The property consists of 14.3 +/- acres and the request is for a commercial subdivision. 

Municipal Planning Commission recommended Approval February 12, 2004.

 

              F.      Ron Resser Rezoning RZ-03-68; Commissioner Freedman, District 2.  (Planning Exhibit #7)

 

Ron Reeser of Atlanta, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) for property located along the eastern side of State Route 155 South, and north of Hampton-Locust Grove Road, in Land Lots 210 and 211 of the 2nd District.  The property consists of 2.94 +/- acres and the request is for a self-storage facility.  Municipal Planning Commission recommended Approval February 12, 2004.
