EMA Vision Statement
The Henry County Emergency Management Agency strives to
be the most proactive and responsive emergency management
agency possible. We are dedicated to aggressively ensuring
the communities ability to survive and endure a disastrous
event with the least disruption in their quality of life.
EMA Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the most efficient and effective
coordination of resources available in the mitigation of,
planning and preparation for response to, and recovery from
emergencies and disasters.
EMA Responsibility
The Emergency Management Agency is responsible for the management
of all Emergency preparedness program areas within the County. The
primary role of the Agency is to develop and implement comprehensive
disaster planning, mitigation and response activities within
Henry County under the provisions of Georgia statutes. Additionally,
the Agency develops and maintains emergency plans for all
types of natural and man-made hazards, and provides the analysis
and recommendations necessary to make decisions that will
effectively save lives and protect property in such emergencies.
